This is the second incident with significant airframe damage on the 777, the first being in London in 2008 (British Airways) where we had a number of injuries, there has never been a fatality on this plane!!!

A video clip posted to YouTube shows smoke coming from a silver-colored jet on the tarmac.

Passengers could be seen jumping down the inflatable emergency slides.

guy with cam can't wait to see it explode!
ingekuwa kenya!!panic and confusion would have killed us instead of fire.

Eti landed and then crashed????:

C'mon, it simply crash landed!!!!

I wonder why they call it a crash-landing when it's quite clearly a crash.

Seems like it was quite an eventful day/night. A driverless train in the Canadian town of Lac-Megantic then exploded into flames.

This one started to land before reaching the runway, how is that possible? and the pilot was inexperienced on matters 777!

The pilot in control apparently had only 43 hrs on the triple despite a total of about 10,000 hrs on other frames including the 747. It turns out it was his first landing at SFO under VFR because the glide slope had been turned off! Very unfortunate for the passengers.

And an early morning head-on on the Eld-Nakuru Highway, another in Kakamega-Webuye road, and the grisly one last night in Sagana..

Yeah, apparently the ILS in SFO have been U/S and ATC had issued a NOTAM to that effect but crew remembered that at TOD that GLS was not being TARGET...the pilot was forced to do VFR within seconds when he had along set his mind on IFR.

Please rewrite this in simple English. We are neither all pilots nor do we all speak Pilot-English.
