@Nyangao, and for those who will not make it?.......I wish Brookside or Livestock Breeders Association had a website. God gives, mugikuyu takes. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Only in a multimillion farm fully equipped with feeding and milking machinery.I dont think you can generate that amount of money from those small time Dairy farms tucked in the backyard of your house in Ruai or wherever depending on those waste from horticultural firms at the airport for animal feeds. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Tired but that was worth it. Most interesting for me was the Galla goat that requires little feed and water but has high growth and reproductive rate. On dairy goat farming, Wambugu farm had alpine breed which they claim will give 2-4 lts in a day. Some guy from Meru had Toggenburg breed. Claims they produce 3-4 lts. He feeds them on all manner of wild vines. Funny coz a farmer I visited assured me the max a goat will produce is 1.5lts. Interesting things on cattle and sheepp farming but nothing on pig, rabbit and fish contrary to what was advertised
