Kirubi and Obama are both our people, why should we rush at each other when talking about them?

Why do we think someone is being shown the middle finger?

Does it have to be interpreted thus?

Disgust and anger breed oppression and injustice, and love is absent.

In such a situation neither China nor America will be of any good to us.

@ tycho, Kirubi is a Kenyan and proud of it, on the contrary Obama is not.
Obama always waxes lyrical about Ireland where her mother kin comes from but has never done so about his father's land in his presidency.

I think you have taken the joke too far, of all people, Obama has surely embraced his african root more than any other documented person in his situation.

His life story is all about his fathers roots etc. Infact if you ask me, he has not given his mom enough credit

'In his presidency'. The president must be politically correct.

See, we are all actors.

Denying our universal brotherhood is acting. While one may be ashamed of his father, it doesn't follow that the father doesn't exist.

But who does the child belong to? While some may say 'to the father', and others, 'to the mother', I say 'to both, and equally'. For we are all equal before God, and the law.

Obama has recognized his father. What's his father doing? Cursing. Showing him the middle finger.

Let's calm down and play our game well.

I have alway said, Kenya do not know how unimportant they are, we over estimate ourselve too much, if you have never lived in a western country then you might not really know how screwed Kenya is, so I will excuse you! Most people just imagine how life is in other countries and start writing.

Those of us who have lived outside Kenya most of the time hold different opinion about Kenya, it is not because we dont love our homeland but because we've seen something else better to compare with. I don't expect Kenya to have same level of wealth as USA but I expect Kenyans to have some level of intergrity, accountability, humility and logical thinking, unfortunately Kenyans are short of atleast one of those key elements.

Most of us who have lived/live outside the country do not want anything but the best for Kenya but we always feel like, Kenyans in Kenya are destorying the country in so many ways; corruption, tribalism, choosing the wrong leaders, dishonesty, misplace priorities...... to name a few
