Our Company is covered by PHOENIX Assurance. We have an Accountant who pronounces the word as Pho-e- nix instead of Phynix.

Looks like many of the murderers of the english language are from the slopes. Has anyone noticed how even the simplest person on the streets of kisumu speaks nearly perfect english?

the answer we get in class is ....

orange,orange,orange,.......

ssss,ssss,ssss.....

the s's come at the end of the sentence.....

near perfect.....

matek...tek.....

Hey! I didn't say all watu wa githumo speak perfect english. I was just comparing them with our people from the slopes. I've never heard an ordinary son or daughter of the slopes say something close to decent in english. Usually it's broken swa mixed with kuke.

'Kenya regained it's glory' - This is a very common mistake! The apostrophe in this case is used as an abbreviation,not denoting ownership. It should be 'Kenya regained its glory'
