Best accounting software for SME

What would you recommend for a newly started SME? We need something that can assist with invoicing, stock management and bank reconciliations.

I can easily Google to check, but I'd rather have first hand experiences. Quickbooks, Quicken? Any other suggestions?

You can try quickbooks if there is absolute trust between you and the person(s) doing your books. It is very easy to commit frauds with quickbooks as it is very porous. But it's cost is very friendly. Maybe you should get Pastel Express...if your finances allow. BTW, how many users do you intend to have?
