Which reminds me of the tragic tale of Picana, which has just refused to penetrate the market over the yrs, despite using real fruit pulp. A sleeping giant over the years.
Haiya, whatever happened to Alvaro - a marketing blitzkrieg, success and then...loud silence. Ama it achieved its aim of proving it was a successful brand (Kenya was used as a testing ground)...or the hype just died after Mahinda left?
This is my favorite drink especially when chilled,The problem is, the bottle...when chilled cracks if you try to shake it....It happens to me every time. I think if they got a good bottler they can penetrate the market.they have fantastic product. One thing I like about Picanna is unlike Afia or Minute maid..it does not have an aftertaste (that funny taste behind your throat.)which I think is caused by preservatives. Alvaro is still in the market competing with Novida...but I think the sales are not that impressive as EABL hoped. So, @all the learned folks of Wazua.
So apart from a cold beer, what would be the best soft drink to have, taking into account you cannot make your own juice all the time.
Please rate from 1 to 10. 1 worst, 10 best. Cost not considered.
- Coke
- Stooney
- Afia
- Picana
- Pick & Peel
- Del Monte
- Any other

The reality is, if it can stay on the shelf for weeks with no refrigeration, it has preservatives. Not the best for health. I find these "juices" to be packed with sugar. It's all processed. However, it is a little better than taking coke. Personally I find it cheaper and healthier to order fresh fruit juice, which I can get for 500 - 600 bob for 5 litres. Have been doing this for months now, and the only reason I buy Delmonte and the like is for wageniz when I'm not ready or to give to someone  Form is temporary, class is permanent

Yeah @McReggae.... also ask him/her to read about UHT that keeps milk for 6 months in Magadi!! Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

What's all the fuss about added sugar? When we make real mango or orange juice in my home, we add Mumias sugar to improve the taste! What's wrong if some one does the same in a factory and tells you about it on the label? For me, fruit juice without added sugar tastes really bad. I'd rather eat the fruit...but that's a problem when you are thirsty! Don't worry too much about sugar; after all you probably add it to your tea and coffee every day! Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Don't worry too much about sugar; after all you probably add it to your tea and coffee every day!
...and like I said earlier, what is mostly used is fructose,a simple monosaccharide found in many plants. Fructose, including fruits and juices, are commonly added to foods and drinks for palatability and taste enhancement. ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".
