@all. To enlighten more, the land being vast, 5 acres was subdivided into plots. the land buying company did enter into agreement to buy, subdivided and sell in smaller units. the owner went into liquidation and part of the money was paid to the receiver. The company was able to come back and demanded repayment of all amounts paid to receiver. since the land buying company had not been transferred to the land, it took the case to court and after all those 5 years in court , the owner with financial muscle was able "corrupt" the system and retain the property. IT is the one reselling the SECOND TIME at current market price

@sep. the case was taken out of court for settlement. suddenly its now settled

I thought it was rather obvious that Bagarash = Mawinder?

Demand a refund of the 1.4 million paid, with accumulated interest over all those years. Or a portion of land equal to 1.4 million + interest. If you have developed the property, then wait for the bulldozers.

If the owner of the land has enough clout and money to bribe judges and magistrates...

Did anyone see the investigate documentary about the Gachanja (former land commissioner) and Kigondu (a wealthy businessman) murder case? Land was at the center of it all.

It was on KTN Case Files.

Wilson Gachanja and his wife gave 1 million to some Gachie Ninjas to finish Magondu and his driver.

Watch how the driver narrates how they whacked him with a crowbar on the head and left him for dead.

Sad

Who Killed Lawrence Magondu?

Some of this things can make even a church choir member consider the Gachie mafia pap! And if there were numerous buyers - 20 buyers * 1/4 acre - I'm sure one of them must be considering them. You don't shaft a fellow human being like this! Some people are worse than animals. How do some people even sleep at night.

Pole ndungu. Whatever you do, remember your life is more important than money. Try to see how you can remedy the situation - e.g. but going back to court - but let's not lose you.

You can also talk to mawider.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

HI

I'm an old wazua but has created this username for this article only.

Back in 2004, i bought 1/2 an acre of land at ksh 1.4 m. its was all ma savings. other guys did buy and developed there as we waited for title deed to be processed to our name. verification should the land buying company had a valid sale agreement from the person named in title deed. the owner of land did not surrender the title deed and a court case ensured between the two. there decided for out of court agreement then suddenly the case ended. NOW owner with mother title need Ksh 8M ( CURRENT VALUE OF LAND) or he sell his asset. i'm highly levered cant afford this. what is course of action do i have?

What are the other conned men and wimen doing. You need to team up and exert pressure Go to the media, get the Okiya Omtatas to demonstrate around the land.Make enough noise to reach every public, you never know it might heard by the right ears.

Also get to know where he stays with his family.Get afew guys and buy them pangas, axes, bows abd arrows, hoes and jembes.Pay this guys to seat strategically opposite his gate and keep sharpening the weapons without uttering a word to anybody. They should appear there everyday at 5.00am and leave at 10.00pm.

If the do this for two weeks trust me nobody in that house will be at peace, the wife and kids will push him to solve the matter.

But like what has been said earlier, usikonde and do not commit.

Worse things happen in life.

I assume you have not developed the land right? If not you are somewhat better than the guys who have developed. The 2nd Syokimau Demolishion was a similar story where the real owner demanded I think 2.5M but some guys who had build houses of over 8M refused to pay hence the demolition.
Pole sana but death should not be an option.
The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem
