Is it ok to name a child Jesus

@Washiku. The question is, if alot of people named their children Jesus.... as in Jesus of Kibera, of Lavi of nyeri and they became so many wouldnt the bullying stop. So then why would u not name your child Jesus or ("God is praised")at the onset, bullying aside. We have the names in Latin America, and there are no reported bullying. What about these? - Matata son of Masumbuko - Taabu mwana wa Chungu - Kombo mwana wa Mzushi - Ujimoto mwana wa Kijimbwa - etc Choose good names.Names of the messengers of God. Names signifyig truthfulness Names signifying bravery.

@AlphDoti, I KNOW of pple with almost all these names you've mentioned as bad My friend MATATA lives in Syokimau and is very enterprising and religious. My childhood friend TAABU is my agemate, currently in Kericho doing business. MASUMBUKO was a great footballer from TZ national team in late 80's. Around 1986 to be precise. Jesus is a hebrew name that means the Lord is salvation. The Latin pronounce it as hay-soos. It is derived from the hebrew name Yeshua, which is short of Yehoshua or Joshua. Joshua means the Lord is salvation. It's also like calling your child Hosea, which means salvation. So there's nothing wrong with calling your child Jesus. Naming is scripting, by invoking spirit from the 'underworld'. The spirit in you.
So, to name, you must know yourself.
Don't name him yet, I suggest you let him choose a name for himself say, on the day of initiation to 'life'. Before that you can teach him what life is about, knowing himself, naming things, making choices, history, mythology, philosophy, (Lol) . . .
This reminds me of 'baptism names'. An important event done wrongly most of the time.
