Please share your experiences if you are or were employed. How did you get either? Appraisals? Ask? Threaten to leave? Out-perform? BBI will solve it :)

Make sure that your usefulness is felt i.e. stimulate a demand for your services. Most (not all!!) employers will want to retain a productive worker and are therefore likely to offer an increase if your performance is good.

Imagine you are the employer. What criteria would you use to offer promotions to your employees? Now come back to reality and do what you came up with. Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
