Please share your experiences if you are or were employed. How did you get either? Appraisals? Ask? Threaten to leave? Out-perform?

Make sure that your usefulness is felt i.e. stimulate a demand for your services. Most (not all!!) employers will want to retain a productive worker and are therefore likely to offer an increase if your performance is good.

works wonders.....as most bosses want things done but don't have an idea how it should be done.

Imagine you are the employer. What criteria would you use to offer promotions to your employees? Now come back to reality and do what you came up with.

If he/she is generating me triple what they earn. But I'm an unfair employer.
