NATIONAL Bank shareholders have approved plans to raise Sh10 billion through a rights issue to fund its local and regional expansion.

The bank recently re-branded and is seeking to shed off its past image when it was weighed down by bad loans leading to years of no paying no dividends to shareholders until 2010.

It plans to venture out of Kenya once it finishes its business and market stabilisation plans within the country over the next one year.

Before the election euphoria, the floor for KCB was at 38.50

Seems like this is giving in!

Still holding member. This discount period is much welcome. I will only get concerned if NSE20 slids past 4000.

Defensive stocks for now are mpesa bank (competition tapping out), CFC (under valued), Kengen (energy - green energy play).

Long term bullish peg is the commercial oil and gas put... For now enjoy the shake out. Weak hands need to bail...
