Hata zile za gay rights?

This is what I 'think'.

The world knows and recognises it's own.
Laws made by man whom God created are meant to bring order on earth not heaven.
They have no eternal bearing.
But God has also made a provision by giving us the right to choose btwn what is right and wrong because choices have eternal consequences.
He is not ignorant of some silly laws made by us, but He respects the fact that the devil still roams the earth until his time is up.
He respects the Governing Institutions but not the 'funny laws'made by them.
So sio eti God approves gay rights but He leaves us to choose because we appoint the people making those laws.
God has His own Democratic Goverment you know and he wouldn't force us into it unlike the man made one.

By the way,the devil can actually lead one to God.

Pls expound how democratic God's government is.

And @ Mtu Biz, what do u thionk of God's government?.

@Mtu Biz, what is ua thought on the above?

@Behemoth

Im trying not to digress from the main issue here which is the Gospel but i'll give you the short version of my answer.

God's Government.

Referred to in the bible as the Kingdom of God.

Its closest comparison in human government is an absolute Monarchy.

Sola Scriptura

Really?

I had sort of expected a short answer in the line of "Democracy, as practiced by world governments can never be mirrored in the Kingdom of GOD" as in the kingdom of GOD is "Heavenly" and can only be understood when you understand the "Heavenly"

Well the Kingdom of God has been described and talked about extensively in scripture, and it can be understood from scripture.
And based on what the Bible says about the Kingdom of God... it is the farthest thing from a democracy. It is in fact a Theocracy.

It not directed to me but I will hazard an answer.

Do you want to talk about alternatives?

What alternative can be offered other the one the former covering cherub proposed and agitated for?

Or do you want to talk about the welfare of the governed?

Tycho, you are getting it inside out and outside in.

Who says mindset cannot change? For it to change there must be a reference point, the authority - the bible.

The message of the bible is not specific to geography or culture or individuals.

How can you accuse that learning and knowledge would be impossible if the the mind sets on the greatest source of knowledge?

Mindset is not necessarily bad nay, it is extremely good, if it rests solely on the bible.

But how can it rest on the bible if an exposition of the bible is stonewalled?

I mean, aren't bible studies done? How do they do it then? By reading other books that talk about the bible?

Are we then supposed to go buy those books, read them and suppose the holy spirit will give us understanding?

If it is exchange of words that is feared, then one is falling far short of the service exemplified by Paul the apostle when he reasoned with the Jews, Epicureans and Stoicks out of the scriptures daily at such a time as this.

Dionysius and Damaris of today are waiting to hear the gospel.

The story is in Acts 17.

Mindsets do change, and are in fact, part of human nature. And the presence of a frame of reference implies that there exists something which is not mindset, and which can be accessed without mindset.

I believe this is important in our present discussion, for if we stick to our Mindsets, love will be put aside and we will have empty talk.

Government, is a reflection of a people's consciousness through time, and if we were to give a name we would necessarily have to search within ourselves and come up with a new name. Apropos, it is worth looking at how Government has evolved in the Bible. Prophets and Judges then Kings to Elders and God on the throne.

But if Man can be aware of the laws of nature, his identity and relationship with God, then he'd see how elements of Government systems can work together and harmoniously.
