The NSE system of making Corporate Actions and Company Announcements available is rather poor and disjointed.

The Uganda Stock Exchange (or the Listed Firms) send them out by e-mail to shareholders including the minutes, AGM notices, etc.

The Ghana Stock Exchange does the same in an organized & neat manner. They include minutes, resolutions, notices, dividend payment dates, etc.

The Lusaka Stock Exchange (& LuSE firms) also provides timely information in a well-presented format.

A potential idea for a third-party firm to do the above on behalf of the NSE?

Cant agree more. ... for instance, BBK Q1 2013 results were released last week yet NSE is yet to avail them or otherwise tell us they rejected the BBK results because of ABC reasons

Not to absolve the NSE/CMA of any blame, but the companies are just poor. No notice of when results are to be announced, delayed dividends, 'forgotten' profit warnings, illegible financial reports etc. They should take personal responsibility for their shareholders. Ama ni lazima wasukumwe?Sad

The CMA should be in the forefront lakini wanalala. Look at what CBK did with the banks. There is a standardized reporting format which is easy to read.

... and CBK demands quarterly financial reporting. CMA should do same for all these listed firms #Call4CMA2Wakeup

Sad They tell you to reister to get detailed info and once you register they require you credit card to pay 6000 dollars per year or 1500 $ per month. Will Wanjiku with her 600 Safaricom shares be able to register????
Now they present you with announcements that you cannot download or open!
