Hi Wazuans, I have some idle 400K which I now want to invest in a reliable venture. I am not into stocks so I have no intention of going that direction. Please, can you advice me on other reliable investments and expected returns?

My two cents worth- if you are looking for capital gains would recomend buying a piece of land in an upcoming area like Kitengela, Along Thika road, along Kangundo road etc and holding. My experience has been that land in Kenya tends to appreciate rather fast in value. Some have claimed, and I am not one of them, that it is a bubble. I dont believe so. In my opinion, land is a finite resource. No more of the stuff is being manufactured. Population on the other hand is growing exponentially. Simple demand and supply economics. If you do go this route you should consider putting the land to productive use as you wait to lock in your gains. Anything from a greenhouse to chicken farming, or depending on the area mabati vibandas for rent. Hope this is helpful.

@guru me Thank you very much for this detailed advice. I believe land is an infinite resource. I like the idea of mabati vibandas for rent. Once again thank you

@nakujua I fear the logistics of dealing in mitumba bales as I will have to employ a guy to do the work. If the returns are very good as you say, may be it is worth trying, but how good is very good?

Well, if you're interested, I am looking for someone to invest in my film project. My film project is entitled "Saving Jewell", which is about, Jewell Williams, a ten year old girl who witnesses her father brutally murdered by the hands of two, psychotic, non-native men. When Jewell is kidnapped and subjected to horrific torture by the two men, she escapes but is damaged emotionally. When she's taken to New Haven Orphanage for therapy, she meets Doctor Joshua Bradford, who's also half American Indian. Doctor Joshua Bradford, not only helps Jewell recover from the emotional damage from her traumatic experience but goes through great lengths to save her from further impending danger. We are seeking $319,000.00 in funds for our film project.

If you fund this project, you'll be apart of every part of the filmmaking process, as you'll be notified of the day to day operations on the film set. You will also receive an Executive Producer credit and a great ROI plus more that is explained in my business proposal. I intend for funds to be distributed among crew, casts, location rentals, permits, props, wardrobe, equipment such as cameras, film, lighting, etc., special effects, catering, editing, music, sound, and any other necessary items pertaining to the development, shooting, and marketing of the project.

If you want more information, including if you want to see my business plan and more, you can email me at archercrabfilmproductions@gmail.com

Hahahaha! I am not laughing loud because the movie will be funny but because I think this is another delusional character.... just like the other one who was looking for Ksh 50 million

Hey are you a Nigerian? New Haven CT? Why would you think a Kenyan would want to invest in a movie shot in a town in USA, with characters and scenes they cannot relate to????? wait a minute... the only name you could come UP with is New Haven? Oooh yea, it was on the newS the other day after the shooting in in Sandy Hook ELEMENTARY..

Invest in a computer college. You will reap maximum benefits very soon....400k can start a small computer college, a cyber cafe and a place for kids to play games like PS 3
