It took me 1 before I could do any other. Cut off that which causes you to sin... When I got the option to give it as a living sacrifice to God, I took it. I now know I have to take care of God property.

@Mukiri This is quite vague for me as in what is sin and what is not sin. Is sin linked to the 10 commandments?

Give your life to Christ Jesus, get baptized and then ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Only He can answer your questions conclusively.

I know Jesus said, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind' and 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself' Have you done these?

Sin is 1000% linked to the 10 commandments.
Without the law there is no awareness of Sin. You therefore cannot come to repentance if you do not know that you are in error.
The law was put there as a schoolmaster.. to teach everyone that no one can gain righteousness by observing the law, because no one can or ever has observed the whole law perfectly. (except the Christ)
That is why it is wrong for anyone to say "Give your life to Christ" and all will be explained/ sorted out mbele. The phrase "Give your life to christ" has absolutely no meaning and does not exist in scripture. The bible talks about turning away from sin (Repentance) and believing the Gospel by grace through faith.
Without a profound awareness of sin, you cannot come to repentance.
What would you be turning away from?

Thoroughly landing on and airport you legally own is a great habit – if you don’t ask Tuju what will happen!smile

I agree with you. Our God works in mysterious ways and 'speaks' to us differently. The truth as I know it is the journey begins when when one accepts and believes in Jesus Christ(Giving your life to Christ); The famous John 3:16. Just saying 'I'm sorry' might not be enough.

mukiri, with all due respect, you are peddling an extra-biblical thing under the guise of christ. You are hardly in agreement with mtu biz and parentheses will not bring harmony between both your points. jeremiah 3:13 requires only acknowledging your iniquity and your disobedience. without a profound awareness of your disobedience you cannot come to repentance. you have nothing to give because you belong to him already being his creature.

The ultimate test for Greatness in a habit is in Luke 9:23, which alas, can be found in most sacred texts.

John 3:16 alone, may not be enough.
