They usually profile you prior to your interview, yes 90% of decisions are made before you even show up for interview.

The only time i traveled to the US was when I went on a US funded training program and I was treated 'like royalty' here at the local US embassy and also when I arrived in the US. I only have very good things to say about the whole experience. The trip made me realize that Kenya is really a backwater 3rd world country. I realized the true meaning of the saying that 'he or she who hasn't traveled thinks their mum is the best cook'. We Kenyans have a huge task to build our country. I will forever be grateful to Uncle Sam.

I have some in-laws in the US who keep insisting we visit but the thought of hustling for a visa keeps me off.
I have however done Europe tour with family. Visited 4 countries in 3 weeks.
The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem

It's the easiest visa to get. just need some confidence and no lying. They already have all info about you and whoever is on the other end. One thing though your host should be legally in US and fairly stable. They have all this information.

I suspect most chest thumpers have never been to a first world country. Once they see one, all the bravado escapes like a smelly f*rt and reality sets in: the dumb dictator you support so strongly suddenly looks like an idiot.
