@ wends surely uko wapi.Bought some 'useless' land at Bisil ,not far from that place,some 10 km from Namanga rd at 50k per acre then(two years ago).i chased the title from the maasai owner for quite some time but it was worth the sweat.Land is now going at 200k/acre there.Moral of the story-just buy if you have disposable cash.You'l live to reap from it.Better still depending on your risk appetite get your hands dirty and you are sure to get a better deal in that same neighbourhood

Good to know this investment is still gathering momentum.. I acquired a few acres two years ago.. before Nairobians rushed there it was going at 30K/acre, jumped to 40/50..Safcom's SIC came and prices jumped to 75K now naskia 120.. the price increase over the years is dizzying to say the list..

There was a time I had very many questions on Wazua regarding land and Title Deeds.. I was chasing these parcels..

Who wants part of my share.. I can dispose part at a competitive price.. I have a ready title

@Poundfoolish, Its interesting how Nairobians are paying exorbitant land prices especially in Maassailand. I see SACCOS allover selling small pieces of land- esp 1/4s- at the prices of 1 acre There are so many such SACCO deals on Pipeline road which are high exaggerated buy people are still buying.

Its need, my friend.. Land is a factor of production.. when I acquired mine, nilitaka kufuga ng'ombe tu.. and earn some chums through side hustle.. guess we are many Nairobians with ideas... willing seller,willing buyer.. and 'value' is what somebody is willing to pay for something..

Where else are you speculating? You might know something we don't

@Pound there was a time I brought up some land on sale around kisames...its 6km off tarmac...21 acres was being sold at 65k an acre 1.365m i.e around 2009-2010...The land is now at 550-600k per acre surely what justifies such an increase,1000% if am not wrong in 3 years...Elangata itself has quadrupled in a short span,talk of suswa etc...this is crazy

Does anyone have updates on the Elangata plots? After i purchased the 5 acre Elangata plot I found this on the internet and it seems to be the same location SIC was selling;
http://www.shomonews.com...RANCH-LAND-SCANDALS.pdf

I emailed the SIC office (twice) about this and have not heard back.

Just enquire from SIC if any of the land parcels mentioned is what you bought into. If that is the case iko shida.
From my little knowledge,Ranch members go their titles, some members are selling.
So i highly doubt the 'ranch' still exists par se.
what the report presents could be internal matters. not legal show stoppers.

Just to be safe i would give land transactions in Kajiado and Narok a huge bye for my own sanity for now
