Unless you're in debt for an amount bigger than that - loosely speaking. It's a question of net-worth. The guy that was worth 10k this morning and took out a loan of 2m from his SACCO in the afternoon is still worth 10k. Yeye hapana millionaire. Na akionekana aambiwe awache kudanganya watu. You did not read my previous post as to why I sold it,so I will repeat. I relocated to a far place. After doing 1+1 I realised that it was impossible to manage it cz of distance since I hadn't prepared for such a sudden move. I don't regret cz I put the money into better use. "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.

Young and enterprisingQuote:Working with the stock broker provided Mr Nyoro with a good platform to launch his own shares trading firm. And in what looked like an entrepreneurial ‘suicide mission’ among his friends who knew of his failed ventures, he launched StockBridge Securities. Nice. na cc Live and learn; and don’t forget, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

The fellow will add all of his 2m to his asset column and a similar (negative) amount to his liabilities column. Result? KES 0.00 increase in networth. That being said I have since made my first one since I was last on this thread. Method? Rather traditional. Kukaza mchipi na kuweka pesa kwa SACCO ni kama ninalipwa. Bought land a while ago and liquidated it recently (after 2 years) at thrice my buying price. Looking to turn that into a habit. Do we talk about liquid cash or things that can be liquefied/liquidated? Kama ni mambo ya liquefaction/liquidation then I am worth tens of millions! kama ni mambo na hard cash then niko in hundredsthousandsnnaire!! Na kwa yote.. tunarudishia Yesu shukrani...

@Keanute,Factual, I too, followed this approach, though I am still walking there. Again; and always I remind myself that (clean money) takes one a long way. I am in a process of clinching a deal for 15 acres in Kajiado for future capital gain instead of an 1/8th in and around where everyone wants to buy. For now, my family can stay in our apartment (loan free) in /within,5 kms away from CBD. I am inspired.Whoops! Being aware of your surroundings is the first step to avoiding slips, trips and falls.

Assets - Liabilities = Net Worth I think this is what we are talking about. If you are still worth tens of millions by that definition, you are doing quite well my brother.
