By the way how is the TARDA project going, any significant milestones that will send sugar to our shelves and dividends to investors accounts?

This time round, expect 0.00000 cents. WHY?
- The sugarcane wars
- Unproductive electioneering period
- Looting of company coffers for campaigns
- Half Year results were disasterious
- COMESA sugar effects in UG and TZ
- Last year's unfavourable weather
- Dairy subsidiary still on hold

A while back this counter gave a 'get out of jail' window when it briefly traded above 5. If they do offer a div (highly unlikely) it may cushion the expected breakdown. This thing will go below 4 easily than above 6...

The last time I read anything about Mumias was that the farmers were planning to stop selling cane to them, well that means they had less baggasse to produce enough elec...

When it petrol its just that petrol. Mixed with Ethanol becomes Gasoline or Gasohol as the petrol station in Kandara still reads. so your answer is no but pretty sure Digitalis will change that, along with low sulphur diesel hopefully

Production for next financial year will drop to less than half the capacity due to lack of cane.I see this one trading lower than Paka this time next year.

Am not picking this counter until they clean up house and get it in order. It has potential but too much complacency. The sugar guru has spoken, he once said if you want to make money in sugar, leta yako from Brazil

Farmers have uprooted the crop and the little that is poorly maintained and available is sold to West Kenya Sugar Company. The MD Kebati and other senior managers run it from Nairobi with weekly flights to Mumias for a tour and to allocate sugar and molasses quotas to distributors.

It is not Ruto pushing and KVDA is not involved in anyway. The plan was mooted last year by Suresh Patel a Kisumu based businessman and is undergoing approvals at Kenya Sugar Board. He is also behind South Gem Sugar Company in Siaya,Sirisia Sugar Company in Bungoma that have received the regulator's nod.
