What happened to the old days when our parents were happy to have us home teaching us other basic things? The basic things have helped most of us here to be great achievers and performers.
Even class 2 pupils r going for tution???
In the good old days, we had government schools that worked. Government teachers that had a calling to teach. We had big pieces of land where we'd go chase butterflies, climb trees, gather wild fruits, slide on plastic jerrycans on sloppy grounds until dusk, we had animals to rear and firewood to collect, lands to tend and water to draw.... life was easier, no money pressures that we have now because anything you need costs you money. Good education for kids costs you money, same is their healthcare, foodstuff etc.
I'd love to have my children find me home when i've prepared water bath for them, something hot to drink and i sit around to do homework with them... but is it practical? No. partly because, when i hit the road at 5.30, everyone else is in the street and we cant move out of town until 7pm! If everyone else left their cars at home, i'd be able to do half of the things above.
what do kids do nowadays? The water is in the taps, the fuel at the petrol station(gas), just a balcony for a field and lots of mexican and nigeria soaps all day long.... Surprisingly, only town parents are happy with holiday tuition. Back home, parents are more than happy to have the kids home, not much because of any other thing, but they come in handy with a helping hand.
