Via Today: British business magnate Richard Branson had his legs shaved, put on lipstick and squeezed into a red skirt to honor a bet by serving as a flight attendant on an AirAsia trip from Perth, Australia, to Malaysia this morning (May 12).
The Virgin Group founder lost a bet to AirAsia chief Tony Fernandes in 2010 after they wagered that their Formula One racing teams would finish ahead of each other. Mr Fernandes’ team landed two spots above Mr Branson’s.
But Mr Branson also made sure he got his revenge on Mr Fernandes by purposely tipping a tray full of orange juice over the AirAsia boss, earning him a reprimand from the latter.
Mr Fernandes gleefully declared after the nearly six-hour flight that Mr Branson’s skills as an attendant were “rubbish” and that he was being immediately fired."
