@Magigi, in that section the limit is 70 kph/hr despite the section being nyweee...it's a cash cow for them cops.

What makes them imagine that people won't speed up once they pass the speed camera?

I think the speed cams are not fixed. there is a demo they showed some time ago and they were mobile just as speed guns and capture the vehicle images plus registration plates. obviously zikiwa fixed si zitaibiwa? Most cops take advantage of lack of knowledge on the driver's part. They should place speed limit signs in areas where the limit is not 110 kph especially as one approaches towns. Just as it was done on the Thika Super highway. Otherwise how will a person who is driving to Nakuru the first time know that the limit on the dual carriageway is 50 kph? Are the shopping centres along the highway considered as towns? This will become harder and harder as the towns expand.

In this section the road is very clear and wide. I can do 170km/be and my breaking distance is less than 50m. The cops mint a lot of money in this sect
ion..

70km/h is for a lorry Laden with sand..

No. 11 speed cameras mean 11 speed monitoring stations. Now expect at least four cops flagging drown vehicles and a boss/base commander and that makes 5. Multiply by 11. You have about 60 new tummies all will be very endowed within very few days.
