Sorry this might sound silly/bad but I ask;- Why?

thot guy has good covers and if not family ok to handle.I know our socialization is such that we need to buy mushumari but I did not expect a public harambee.

People in the know claim he was up to his neck in debts. Apparently he [among others] borrowed heavily to finance the CORD campaigns. The reasoning was that "after" they won, they would easily recover the money through [inflated] government contracts. Add to that the fact that he never used to get a dime of his salary. He had evaded tax to the tune of Kshs. 300 million and when this was unearthed he struck a deal with KRA which entailed KRA collecting 100% of his salary. He was to continue paying this tax debt on a reduced [and taxed] salary! This [major debts] is actually the reason some people believed he might actually have committed suicide! The story is that most of his property is waiting to go under the hammer. It would be a sad story. Not nice to see a fellow human being [and/or his family] in distress!

An insider info is that the pills were manufactured by pfizer and they were blue in color.
I can bet that family will not make public the autopsy findings.

Yes. That and the fact they have agendas and predetermined conclusions and their major task is to see how the facts on the ground can be made to lead to those conclusions.

This has been the norm rather than the exception!

As a matter of fact, it should be made COMPULSOURY for police officers and other security agents to visit wazua as part of their investigations!! The percentage of successfully solved cases would rise dramatically!!!

His properties and assets are heavily tied in trusts and charitable organisations. He's a clever lawyer. Nothing is ever in his name. Those debts have died with him.

Good for him/his family if this is the case. But I doubt things are as easy as you make them sound to be. You must borrow AGAINST something. This is not Moi's time when a politician could walk into National Bank with a note a get an unsecured loan!

Banks treat "political loans" as high risk and therefore not only charge a higher interest but also ensure that the security is water tight, highly valuable and easy to dispose. If the properties are in the name of companies and trusts then the loans must be in the names of those companies and trusts. No bank in this day and age - in Kenya - will give you a significant loan without proper security. Your chances are even worse if you are a politician!

This article raises the same issues wazuans have been raising all along. And some people here had the audacity to insult or make fun of the wazuans who raised the issues in the first place!

Now this gets interesting:

Quote:
Further reports have showed that an unlabelled bottle containing pills was among samples taken from Mr Kilonzo’s bedroom by detectives after the death was reported.

Quote:
Fresh reports emerged Saturday that seemed to contradict earlier information that Mr Kilonzo had not been seen alive on April 27, until he was discovered dead at around 11am.

According to the new reports, the Senator had woken up early and spent about 30 minutes at the swimming pool within the compound of his palatial home.

At that time, the visitor was in the house.

Quote:
Another officer said the first batch of detectives who entered the bedroom after the death report was made said the scene had probably been disturbed.

Quote:
“It is just part of our investigations ... we are not saying for sure that there was another person, but some things are not adding up,” said the officer who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Quote:
Sources say that workers who have spoken to investigators have said it was not strange for the senator to have visitors during his stay at the ranch on weekends and that some would spend the night.

Now this visitor(s) ni wa aina gani ya kimaumbile?

this could be a possibility too. some reports indicate unpaid taxes in the tune of 800m. This in addition to CORD campaign debts is a huge burden. Let's wait for a jicho pevu on this.

I have a problem when we use mass psychology to explain everything, at the expense of facts.

Mutula had not been drawing salary since last parliament. AND HE DID NOT COMMIT SUICIDE THEN. why would he now?

Viagra is known to have effects on the heart, leading to heart attack. DOCTORS ARE SAYING HE DIDNT DIE OF HEART ATTK. but still some want to propagate theories to this effect, surely?

the quiz still stands, what killed Mutula?
