I have just realised that in kisumu there are so so so many twilight girls/ladies all over town unlike other towns like nairobi where they are 'designated', not sure if all other towns are like this, its like a big mtwapa by night o' worse, I just cant believe I saw some at the entrance to our house polyview to opposite kisumu poly. aii this is too much. as early as 10PM... Kweli. Though I think many of these girls on the streets have resigned themselves to their fate. Also, they gain from the fact that most have parents upcountry and any relatives who spot them would not have the balls to break such sad news to wazazi. Last, even if you are a compassionate relative, the girls are so bitter, scarred and hardened by life that unawezatukanwa mbaya ukifikiria ati unaenda kumsaidia au kumshtaki. Ultimately most people will gossip about it but choose to focus on their own problems and just let sleeping dogs lie.
