Rank: Elder Joined: 10/4/2006 Posts: 13,821 Location: Nairobi		It’s been a hunch of mine over the last couple of years that Africans have more desire and thirst to learn and excel academically per capita – there have been no statistics to back my hunch but the 2010 conducted US census pointed to the fact that NIGERIANS are the most educated nationalities in the US (http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/nigerian-diasporas-are-the-most-educated-immigrants-in-the-united-states/113200/). This position was once held by Asians (Koreans and the works). As a student attending one of the UK universities (online) I also noted that their numbers were more than those of other nationalities in that university actually were more than everyone else combined! Top colleges in the US are taking more and more blacks…. From AFRICA and the Caribbeans as opposed to blacks from the US (http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/24/us/top-colleges-take-more-blacks-but-which-ones.html?pagewanted=all&src=pm). If this is steadily translated into intellectual property I have a hunch that we will soon be providing solutions to our problems instead of forcing down European/American inventions onto our problems and context. Could this be the beginning of the rehabilitation of the African image? All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

To our advantage we are quickly learning too that the said 'difference' is no better than 'our own' by the fact that we can do it better than them! Boring line of thought. white is a race. its a culture after the fact. white populations world over are decreasing, low fertility rates, gayism etc on the other hand watch the darkies whether in africa or Brazil are on the rise..disease or no disease soon in our lifetime whites will become a minority in the us I may be wrong..but then I could be right

From AFRICA and the Caribbeans as opposed to blacks from the US" Yes there are more and more Africans from Africa but not by any chance closer to African-American group, the paper is specifically talking about those blacks who originated from Black great grandfather and black great grandmother. In USA blacks/African American group range from pure blacks from slaves( Black-black), Mix of black with any other race( The Tigers, The Obamas, black-spanish, black-indians, black-arabs), Blacks who immigrated to USA from Africa and the islands and even those who just came the other day. Based on the grouping, the population of black-black in these college is very small but that doesn't necessarly mean it is been replaced by blacks from Africa, you are making a big and a flawed assumption. The biggest group within African American group in top schools are the Mix-race subgroup and the smallest subgroup are blacks from outside USA.
