My question on the same subject, is political risk insurance taken against an anticipated event or for a period?

@mgkyalo, strong buy, substantiate your rating

Note Recommendation Guide:

STRONG BUY > Highly undervalued/ strong fundamentals

BUY > Good value/ strong fundamentals

ACCUMULATE > Buy on price dips

HOLD > Correctly valued with little pricing upside or downside

LIGHTEN > Overvalued by the market/ Reduce exposure/Declining fundamentals/ industry concerns

SELL: Weak fundamentals and challenging operating environment/Highly overpriced

Good education for a "Hello"! Must be able to back your argument if required. @Mwekez@ji, is BETA useful in guiding us on which shares to BUY, SELL, HOLD, not touch at all....

I find beta useful when using DDM valuation model. Our brokers/investment banks like using 5 year DDM valuation model in which case beta becomes useful. However, wazuans hardly discuss stocks beta, or atleast in the threads that i read. how does it work for you

Yet again someone is blowing a CIC buy trumpet... Is it that same someone that got usered? However, that someone knew something since the price volted from 3.50 to 6.

However does the end justify the Means? I don't think so, next time it might not work.

Interesting. .... Africa Trade Insurance Agency FY12 bottomline gained from political risk covers. Now wondering whether this also applied to our listed insurance firms or it only H1 2013 & somehow H2 2013 that stands to benefit from the political risk covers >>> http://www.nation.co.ke/busines...8/-/wl29t5z/-/index.html
