A girl, at the funeral of her mother, met a guy whom she did not know. She fell for him and just kept looking at him.Sometime later she realized that the guy is gone and she forgot to take the number of the guy and now she can't find him. A few days later she killed her elder brother.
Question: What is her motive in killing her brother ?

She hopes that the guy would return for her elder brother's funeral.

Mr. Black, Mr. Gray, and Mr. White are fighting in a truel. They each get a gun and take turns shooting at each other until only one person is left. Mr. Black, who hits his shot 1/3 of the time, gets to shoot first. Mr. Gray, who hits his shot 2/3 of the time, gets to shoot next, assuming he is still alive. Mr. White, who hits his shot all the time, shoots next, assuming he is also alive. The cycle repeats. If you are Mr. Black, where should you shoot first for the highest chance of survival?

If you try to fail deliberately but succeed, which have you achieved?

Trying is attempting.
Failing is the opposite of success.
Attempting is based on purpose.Purpose in this case is succeeding to fail - which is not succeeding.By succeeding you fail to not succeed. So you both fail and succeed.

...actually failing is learning that things dont work the way you expected,so you try a new method and still fail, that way you are succeeding in knowing that you are doing it the wrong way.if you succeed the first time, it means that you havent learnt much. The guy who failed twice learns more when he finally succeeds

This one introduced me to such questions.

Three men in a cafe order a meal the total cost of which is $15. They each contribute $5. The waiter takes the money to the chef who recognizes the three as friends and asks the waiter to return $5 to the men.

The waiter is not only poor at mathematics but dishonest and instead of going to the trouble of splitting the $5 between the three he simply gives them $1 each and pockets the remaining $2 for himself.

Now, each of the men effectively paid $4, the total paid is therefore $12. Add the $2 in the waiters pocket and this comes to $14.....where has the other $1 gone from the original $15?

5*3=15
15-5=10
10+3=13
Waiter has pocketed $2.
No difference

That's right. My problem was accounting for the $1 when you start with $4.
