@Grolut, What the independent power producers do in the developed world is to load their excess production to the national grid. The consolidation effect is enormous as anyone with surplus sells it and the sum total is huge.
Small scale production in Kenya would work with the right policy environment. Solar, Wind and Geothermal are the way to go.
But first we have to disband Kenya Power and Darkness and we start afresh. It is just one useless monopoly answerable to nobody, in my opinion.
