Safaricom SMS sales overtake rival voice units - http://www.businessdaily...l/-/bxu30x/-/index.html

The elephant's sms sales are more than its rivals voice revenues for a certain quarter!

I think the results will be quite a shock load...!

SMS are far more profitable than voice. SMS costs the carriers peanuts since the data transfer required for an SMS is hardly what a voice minute takes. If carriers had their way, they would move us all to SMS.

I agree SMS is a goldmine but sadly this wont last.Slowly people have noticed communicating through apps and social media is cheaper although as of now not as reliable as sms.

Having dismissed resistance at 6.50 next objective is 7/- If the results are really good 7.20 - 7.30 may be tested, but I'd sell at that price level without blinking.

I am a bit disappointed with the volume considering how it started out but I guess its the whole market.

A close above 6 and this elephant flies! I have no idea why the price is this lofty considering its fundies, but mr market wants it there. Unless the PBT comes in at 20B plus with a div hike, at this level it is quite pricey.

I can see wanjikus have been selling their powder - http://www.businessdaily.../-/kk3m9kz/-/index.html

StratLink has a TP of 6.95 while MS has 6.45. All project to div hikes all through 2015. 2013 PAT est comes in at 17B - 18B. If achieved EPS will be above 40cts! That's 25% plus EPS growth. I'm eager to see the fiscal report for a better picture.

Tech readings suggest having broken 5.80 and vaulting past 6 solid resistane layers, this elephant is saying 6 plus is the new range!

Heading north...
