No idea. Alai is not the most reliable source. In any case, the firm is in huge problems with a massive 2H loss coming. KQ had to re-hire the fired staff. Adds to the wage bill.

If he is taking a cabinet position, obviously he is not after a fat salary since kq pays better,so is it a question of fearing the egg crushing in your hands?

TN initially well.
The fortunes of KQ have been mostly affected by oil prices and exchange rate fluctuations.
For the company to succeed, the MD will require a very sharp finance director. A finance director with an engineering, quant techs and finance experience should fit the bill ( I dont mean papers, experience)

I doubt he is headed to cabinet - and if he makes it will be disastrous. He has outlived his usefulness..

Some 5 or so years ago kq share hit 130. It was initially offered at 11.25 back in 1997/8. Over the years, only them who could not leave stayed on.As a rule, globally, airline business is best left to the respective government sorely as a tool of national pride.Do not blame Titus. Guy had good business sense not invest a nickle there. It's like buying into the military when they eventually go public.
