I do not have issues responding to the age factor question. Was just curious how the age factor can crop in from a conversation that wasn't related to that.


You still don't know?? It's not like he really wanted to know your age. It's related to your grasp of issues. Either he was impressed or appalled by your lack or grasp of issues and tied that to your age..

Totally agree, it all had to do with that conversation, your responses or contribution in it.

depending on the conversation, it could be a complement.... thinking, you really look great or you are quite intelligent for the age you are(look), or it could have been an insult, like "I am surprised someone your age (grown up) should be thinking like that..." Remember, this society has a way of categorizing expectations based on age factor among others. Whichever it would be, we may never get to know unless we know what the conversation was about.
