What are the requirements if on is travelling out of the country with a MINOR... Lets say my sis wants to travel with her nephew??

I bet it would depend with the country they are visiting.. I may not know everything they will need but apart from the basics (passports, tickets, accommodation or proof of payment of expenses etc) if it is a self respecting country, they might want to have the consent of parents (just to rule out child-trafficking)...

I bet it would depend with the country they are visiting.. I may not know everything they will need but apart from the basics (passports, tickets, accommodation or proof of payment of expenses etc) if it is a self respecting country, they might want to have the consent of parents (just to rule out child-trafficking)... Thanks Elderess.. The consent from parents. Does it have to be notarised(by a lawyer) ama how will immigration know that the letter is genuine? Visiting an East african country.

East African country should only require a travel permit at the very least. Infact, unless airtravel, I doubt you'll be asked questions.

Last time I checked, a minor is someone under 21 years. A minor from 18 years can get their own passport.

Doubt she would be questioned but it doesn't hurt to have those documents. You can always call Immigration for further information 020 222 022.
