i have been on this system since phase 1 of the pilot and i must confess it's a piece of genius. at least it has worked for me. sorry for your predicament.

It works for me too but I cant help thinking someone rips me off. I once bought Kshs 1,000 worth of units and received 26 units. After three days the units were used up and I bought another Kshs 1,000 worth and received 64 units. Something is just not right somewhere and KPLC have turned a blind eye to the problem.

Robin - The charges are graduated as per your consumption per month. Read the brochures that are supplied with the meter carefully.

Finally these kenya power fork jembes have moved us to prepaid. The initial 30 tokens are almost over. I try several times to top-up with no success. I call my neighbour to find out how he is managing and he tells me he called their call centre and was informed they have not yet activated the recently installed meters so we can't top-up. We will have to stay in darkness until they clear the backlog.

Thank God the min.of energy will be under Ruto and he will almost certainly shake-up these lethargic parastatals. Good bye Njoroge and your board. We will not miss you.

I have finally gotten through kplc call centre and they have told me to wait ( in darkness) but if the meter is not activated by wednesday, i go to their offices.

Because its a sunday, my good side is in charge and thinking; someone please talk to president Kenyatta and let him know these guys are the biggest threat to his vision for kenya.

My nasty side is wondering ; is it humanly possible to be this incompetent? could it be that kplc is managed by . . . . . . . Then i remember its sunday.
