In the 2007 elections but after he assisted Fidel with some work,he fell out with Raila and when he was accused of stealing some 230m from various banks it is Maiyo and Faruk Kibet who are close associates of WSR who stood for him surety and provided the cash bail.He is also an official of PDP and at one time bought Shabana FC a bus.
