Good people,
I need your help and suggestions. I know you have all participated in team building in one way or the other.
I've been taxed in getting some games to be used as competition for our team building group. As it's a family day, i am supposed to come up with games (for competition) for both adults and also for children.
I have no clue which game to use. Please help me out with your suggestions.

Checkout with firms that offer teambuilding activities.Eg tour firms seem to have incorporated the same in their programmes. Hotels too that have conference facilities and grounds do offer team building and could be of help. The ones I know are not based in Nairobi but in some Gichagi town where I do my ujenzi wa taifa. Love is beautiful and so are those who share it.With Love, Marriage is an amazing event in ones life time, the foundation of joy, happiness and success.

A race with guys carrying eggs on a spoon, who will be first to burst a balloon. Eating competition, e.g who finishes x slices of bread in y minutes. Have some simple(comical) presents for the winners of an activity or a set of activities.

Also try, balloon blowing( for adults), passing a ball "neck-to-neck" "Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least." Goethe

@Wendz competition is okay, but I would rather "corporative". Today's world would do with more of corporation than competition.
The game have Heros who show real caurage, who bring people together. To encourage your team to identify with those heros/heroines. The team to say we want to be on their team.
My 2 cents...

Thanks @kaka. Please elaborate on the highlighted one. Basically inflating a balloon (s) by blowing into it with the mouth till it(they) bursts. Others r having guys from different groups tie each other onto chairs where they r supposed to free themselves, then proceed for a race with a egg on a spoon(mentioned earlier), then bite a cake suspended on a high place with a string such that everyone jumps to reach it, etc etc. Have the members in like four group consisting of active participants and the rest cheering them on.

Just to add on the list... 1. Divide the team into small groups (5-8 people) & ask them to come up with a skit of any nature, give them time to prepare & rehearse. The most creative group carries the day. You will need to set the judges aside, they asses creativity, comic and etc. Its very entertaining & rib cracking. The essence is to enhance & reward teamwork. 2. If its family affair, you can agree to switch roles, e.g. your son/daughter can play mom/dad to play some basic scenarios at home. This is not very competitive but it gives excellent feedback on how each behave and gives everyone an appreciation on who they are, how they nag/boss around home. Rib cracking as well. 3. Invite me to facilitate more...for some few $$$

Divide the group into two teams. Fill a balloon with water. Give each team a leso. Play VOLLEYBALL or is it BALLONBALL.
Very funny, especially when your team fails to 'catch' the 'ball' and it bursts on your faces.

The lesso is meant for? @the rest, i am putting up a list of all your contributions. even though i don't necessarily respond to each individual post (which like make it unnecessarily long), i appreciate the ideas you are floating.

Trust fall. Different teams. The team divides itself into two. They stand facing each other at arms length. The teams have to find a way of interlocking their arms/hands such that someone cannot fall through them. Every team member takes their turn, running and jumping belly or back first into the interlocked hands. PS: Kama iko yokozuna or momo, iko chida to that team.
