So much for the H2 numbers?? Sad

This thing might pull a paka, AK and Olympia and fall to 4bob! This loss has wiped out more than half of the book value! Woi!!!

Get ready for a mega slaughter on Wed.. 9billion loss without the tax credit is insane!

You talk about turning the corner but you will soon see this price controlled industry will continue to destroy oil marketers no matter how good the hydro carbon story is!!!

The got a tax credit. Notice loss before tax is higher than loss after tax

H1 (loss) + H2 (loss) = Very very very bad results. Even Segman in his moderated words has called the results "disappointing"

Retained earnings, accumulated over many years, have been wiped out. With the tough operating environment having been persisted in H2 2012, the future doesn't look bright hence it will take a long time to recover the wiped hard-earned-retained-earnings

Size presents various opportunities, being able to hedge, consistent suppliers and with it woes of contractual obligations! This would make a great case study for someones thesis. It was clear KK was going to make a loss, but this big a loss!!!! I pitty holders of this stock.... wonder what informed those who have been buying the counter of late!Pray Pray

Greater fool theory!

I thought the loss would not be replicated in h2...this thing is worthless now...I wouldnt buy it even at 7 bob...shows carelessness and irresponsibility of management. How do you replicate a hedging loss? #disappointed shareholder#

With trailing EPS in the negative (and especially the H2 EPS), and the future looking blur, and the BS looking weak even when you factor that the PPE are historically valued, KK share price should bleed

Unfortunately it goes down to WAY more than just hedging losses with Kenyan oil marketers!

Whoever was parading that H2 2012 would be better than H1 simply doesn't understand the true nature of an oil marketer in Kenya!

I have always said that Low profit margin stocks will do nothing for any investor in the long term!
With such companies any dip in revenue causes COLOSSAL losses Sad

When it comes to investment decisions 'Margins' are just as important to buffet as 'management'

KK is no exception to this rule.. So even if some may make money speculating in the short term it only takes 2 more losses like this before we start talking about insolvency for KK!

Total (K) management must be the BEST in Kenya. How did they manage a profit compared to KK?
