Did God then set Himself up for a contradiction? @symbols and @tycho the gospels are the centre and heart of Christianity so I do not agree with a lot of the assertions made!? We all know these so called words of Matthew and John were edited by the Romans 300 years long after they died without any chance to defend themselves...  Why do many of their assertions contradict the old testament?? Didn't God know what he was saying when he banned eating pork?? Didn't God know what he was doing when he blessed polygamous men?? Didn't God know why he allowed divorce?? Or was if the "hardness of our hearts"??  Mark 12:29

These are practices among men.Christ brought in spirituality for the body is already born of sin.The same God in the old testament still declared "thou shall not kill(better yet murder)" and directed others to kill.Contradictions are there but God is still infallible.

The former champions of Christianity aka Europeans and USA are today complete Godless and immoral societies with African Christians quickly following suit We probably had a better chance at heaven with our traditional religions! The questions and contradictions between the catholic church traditions and the bible are countless... Here is one major one! Read what St. Timothy says about priests and marriage in 2 Timothy 3:1-6 and you will see that the Roman catholic church is the home of Satan and responsible for the downfall of Christianity!
