And his visions were of a spiritual nature. I, for one, am convinced that the Church fathers erred in their ways. For how couldn't the holy and 'Catholic' Church not hold? It is because the fathers wanted a total break away from ancient tradition, on one hand and insisted on it on the other. The reformation on the other hand had its errors. In stressing on the Scripture only and the priesthood of the laity, Scriptural authority was further reduced. But even as these things have happened, does it justify individual complacency? The great Prophet Mohammed could not read, yet Allah sent him his angel, and he was living in the midst of pagan worship! Did Christ live among saints? Let us not hide behind flimsy excuses. The Christ, and Mohammed and the other prophets have bid us to follow the straight path, and we have failed.
