If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

you are still young, you can save more than that and live a happier life with that cash. Apart from rent all the others can be cut down;
Fare - you can walk from cabanas
Food - Eat mostly at friends places
airtime - call at night ama tafuta yu line its mostly free
household Items - buy once you marry
clothes - unless the job demands certain clothes, continue with what you have.
girlfriend - if she is in nairobi already she can take care of her self, if she is in upcountry she will be proud to have a nairobi boyfriend no money needed.

very soon you will be at the level of some elders here whose fuel expenditure is more than 30k.

happy job life

Here is an idea for you.
Just join one of those land investment clubs, contribute 10,000 shillings to be a member then wait till they find a piece of land in Thika areas for subdivision, pay another 60,000/70,000 shillings per plot which of course can be paid in installments then chill till 2016/2017.

Live a little.Know the pain and pleasure of money when you can still recover. Then you will know the value of money and how to prioritize it from what you've learnt otherwise you'll always have doubts and frustrations.

Why stress a young man who's just landed his first job?
He is not her Father nor her husband and has no obligation whatsoever to act as her financial sponsor. He's actually free to do as he wishes with is money so his 2k gesture is welcome.
When two people deeply love each other the popcorn looks like periperi pizza and soda tastes like capuccino.
Many well to do folks living in the surbubs met and dated by river banks as they feasted on roasted maize.
If were the girl and in shags,I would use that cash to start some lil business hata kama ni ya kuku as we plan our future. That way my income is doubled

@Njunge, if you are employed (or was ever employed at some point), what was your starting salary???

Sad Now we know why someone was given a bun and left. It might be prudent to let her know how you spend your cash and where you see yourself in a few years.
