@Obiero on the biggest bank, correct me if I'm wrong:
1. KCB Group - 12.2 billion shs PAT
2. Equity Group - 12.1 billion shs PAT
3. BBK - 8.7 billion shs PAT

May not have other banks but please confirm - this puts the green car ahead I believe...

PAT can be manipulated by a myriad of accounting options, so in my world, PBT rules as it is prone to less 'human' adjustment

Nope, we group them in terms of PBT as Pat is dependent on deferred tax..

@Obiero knocks this out of the park... Good show!!! Can't get much better...

PBT 17.5 vs 17.2 which is -4%
DPS 2.00 vs 1.90 which is -5%

@guru267 and @others.. i was busy digesting the full contents of KCB's financials and I must report back that all is well. key measures such as interst income, CIR, ROE, ROA, total assets and even customer numbers are up. the regional business grew by over 30% and is expected to contribute upto 25% of the groups PBT in comin years. it may take a slight bump down with KES 34 being tested but not a major meltdown as @guru predicts.. KES 23.50 being my average buying price, I now patiently await the generous dividend :)

while writing this on feb 28th EBL share was at mid 20's, now its touched highs of KES 33.5.. i expect a swift move to KES 40 in run up to announcement of Q1 which will be up by no less than 10%.
