Accountants in the house: is there an accounting standard relating to how comparative figures for prior year are shown? Do they go to the first or second column?

Personally, I am use to current year first, prior year second. However, I have noticed that some companies [Jamii is one of them] do it the other way round. And things get very confusing if the current year figures are not highlighted.

@chiaroscuro it doesn't really matter what column shows what as long as there is clear comparison between the periods!

admin, change the title to indicate it is a Kshs. 52 Million Profit

Different banks put the years differently. But they are always clearly indicated

Loan Book went up by 333% to Kshs. 1.3 Billion

Interest Expenses surged to Kshs. 26 Million from Kshs. 5.6 Million.

Net Interest Income still nearly doubled to Kshs. 209 Million thanks to Total Interest Income ramping up to Kshs. 236 Million from Kshs. 112 Million

Insider Loans Kshs. 142.6 Million from Kshs. 9.5 Million

Cost:Income ratio 84.5%
