Question. Now that all the profits are paid out as dividends. Where do they acquire cash for other needs. And is this A wise model?

Not unless you bought it at 141/- per share, otherwise, at current price, the div yield is around 6 percent.

Actually, BBK & SCBK are (almost) in the same boat. The expansion (needs) in Kenya have matured.

Bralirwa in Rwanda also has a 100% dividend payout ratio from its profits hence its never ending rise in share price..

COOP 70,000 ABP 15.20; HF 90,000 ABP 3.83; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45

No, they need to invest in upgrading the network to handle more data. They are far more mature coz Kenya is 'under-served' as far as telcoms/data is concerned.

Oops! I meant Safaricom is NOT as 'mature' in an 'immature' market therefore re-investment is required. Safcom has a 5-year project to build a fibre network around Nairobi. Furthermore, they need to invest in more 3G base stations as well as prepare for LTE. Data is where it is at!
