I love frying them in butter. They take a short time to cook else they become rubbery

mushrooms are not only very healthy for you but also offer a wide range of great tasting options for dishes. they can be as simple as an addition to stir-fry veggies or you can use them as garnishes to more intricate dishes. i just love them...

you can start here:

mushroom recipes

one of my favourites is a very simple dish i make to accompany my breakfast,all i do is slice up some mushrooms,peppers (green,red or yellow or a bit of mix of each) and onions (half rings). beat some eggs (for a healthier option you can reduce the yolk ratio by taking out two yolks for every three eggs you use). heat up a heavy iron skillet (forget that non-stick rubbish),pour about a tablespoon of extra-virgin oil into the pan. sautee the mushrooms,then the onions then the peppers. take them out of the skillet. pour the eggs onto the hot skillet. when the eggs start hardening add the sauteed mix to one half of the pan. add salt,fresh ground black pepper to taste. if available grate some low-fat cheese over this. gently fold over the portion without the eggs. serve along with your nduma and tea before leaving for the office.

@statboy,

what time do i wake up to finish all that? i usually have maximum 30 min between waking up,preparing and leaving the house.... Thats a good one though... will try one of the sato afternoons.

Some deals are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.
