Where in life and why do people become quitters. It’s serious when one start quitting some of the things that everyone else thinks one is excelling in. A very promising student, all over sudden quits school, a very promising and great employee quits for no apparent good reason, a great family man/woman, suddenly quits and so on. Why? what becomes of such great people, i don’t really understand coz for some, it becomes a part of life; a person who was great can no longer be trusted to fight to the end for success as much as they did. Is it burnout or do someone all over sudden wake up and think that success is worthless. What happens? Have you ever being in such a situation or watched in disbelief as it happens to someone known to you.

For some, they excelled not because they loved what they did, it was because they were doing it for someone else.... after a while, they get tired of doing stuff for other people and start doing what they like.... before they excel on what they like, they've received so much condemnation that they either fall by the roadside or do not get the motivation to prove the point. Take for instance where a man has been a great husband and father to please his "ever complaining" wife, a student who was studying to please his excellence-insatiable parents, or doing a course that he never wanted just because his father thought it was the best thing for him (i know someone who did electrical engineering and went ahead and got a 1st class but has never touched anything electrical.... cant even change a bulb.... but did it for his father).

It has got to do with one's temperament, personality and character, which was handled in the wrong way.
You see, each one of us is born with natural traits. Then our personality is what we show to others as "face". Eventually, we end up with a certain character, which is our "civilised" way.
So, the people we grow with, who have influence in our lives when we are young will: - give us a certain attitude - we then choose the behaviour towards this attitude - and we apply certain actions - and the result is what we turn up to be!

Some people quit because they have achieved or feel there is no more challenge or thrill.. especially in school or jobs.. I also know somebody quitting due to pressure from work.. though they are delivering....
as for family..i dont know how or why one would quit that one.. Its like the Bw. Ratzsinger giving his boss above a feb 28th quit notice..

Boredom then laziness. The unknown scares and excites me.My next challenge, time and fear.Oh,what a ride it is and the possibilities, mind blowing!

Here is what I learnt. There is the inner you and the image people have of you. It's very difficult to maintain that image when one is going through a storm cz it drains you completely. It's even worse when you are in leadership position or a mentor. No one just wakes up and quits- happens after a series of disappointing events which drain one's soul and leaves them weak and empty over a period of time. When one is weak everything becomes blurred.Their thinking faculty is impaired and they can't make very sober decisions. They get blown away by every small wind and lose direction.Everything begins to crumble before their eyes. Honestly I don't know where else one can derive strength from if not from God himself. No situation is permanent even though it seems like it when waves beat us. Hold on.
Finally It's better to quit than to suffocate and die. Look at life as a journey. You wanna reach the top, then be ready to go through the furnace of life so that you can be refined and purified. Only then can great things come your way. "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.
