I am open to suggestions as to how we can use the internet to make effective change in our country using all the free knowledge and all the connections available. I want to start a revolution aimed at the Kenyan mind.
I believe that we're headed to a time in history where knowledge availability will not be an issue. How do we make Kenyans embrace this great resource and instill it in our culture?

I want it to be aimed at every Kenyan, eventually but the way i see it i need to start with the most psyched up group namely the youth. I want to aim the program at youth who drop out of school for any reason but have access to any media. I want it to be a collective contribution project like wikipedia but more adapted for Kenyans problems and solutions.

Somebody should make you head at the ministry of education! Just yesterday I was watching 'How to be a man', educational videos geared at teaching young boys. Started in the US eons ago, I need no answer as to why we are so behind in almost every sector. Watch how kids are fascinated by audiovisual, computer games, TV, movies, music videos etc, look at how they are influenced by pop stars... now tell me what are the best avenues to teach them anything? Compare that to our present mode of education Compare that to the quality of education compare that to end results after spending so many years schooling

They say we dont have a reading culture in Kenya, but we find villagers watching 'inception'at the local video show. Complex ideas can be understood by anyone if they come in an entertaining means. We should not get stuck in mainstream means of understanding content 'books'. Deeply in this context you see why Sonko beats Jimnah.

The target audience is stupid, unmotivated, and almost retarded. We are not to make them guilty by any means. We make them feel accepted, smart enough to learn and we guide them step by step in the most gruesomly simple way to learn anything. Behold the reason why disciplines such as education, psychology and art exist,to make learning pleasurable and easy .We reproduce this cheaply via TV, DVDs and internet - thank you computer science.
