And when the Fed, ECB, BoE & BoJ are through with destroying their ccys & economies to the extent of even having the ccys decomissioned (R.I.P Zim Dollar 2008/9), they'll need a Debt over-hang Remedy like this; Zimbabwe Accelerated Arrears Clearance Debt & Development Strategy (ZAADDS) http://eurodad.org/1125710/ || http://208.112.4.72/downloads/939.pdf

I think the G7 CBs and FinMins are drunk on some serious devaluation koolaid... It's a pity that what is common in dictatorship regimes is now being openly embraced at the top of the financial hierarchy.

Interesting: UK strikes deal for Zim's Marange diamonds to return to the EU markets http://www.bulawayo24.co...national-byo-26407.html As the Old Order (DeBeers, Anglo, Russia, Canada, Botswana e.t.c) face viabilty concerns due to aging mines, and on the otherhand the Surat, India diamond dealers taking up the challenge to come out tops (as a Hub), the dealers at Antwerp, Belgium need to adopt new thinking & that's where Zim comes in as the most cost effective (shallow/alluvial) diamonds source with est. capacity of 25% global output smile Btw, China's emerging as the largest consumer of precious stones ;-)

Got a chance today to read the Sunday Standard (Dec. 30, '12) pull out on Prezz Kibaki, "BUILDING A WORKING & CARING NATION & THE TRANSFORMATION OF KENYA". It was great to learn about him (at 30 years, 1963) as a avid decolonisation of Africa advocate, fronting how to finance land redistribution & Sessional paper no. 10 on African Socialism (Ubuntu ~ I am because we are) and some cool qoutes like, "We should not try to decieve our people that socialism will bring things from Heaven easily. Every single person in this country must be prepared to sacrifice. I mean sacrifice in the sense that we must be prepared to WORK HARD and to SAVE and INVEST. If we are not prepared to do it voluntarily, this paper has declared that this is entitled to enforce people to work, to enforce savings, to enforce people & even MPs to pull their weight." It instantly brought forward the ZANU-PF ideology & mantra, "The Land is the Economy, the Economy is the Land." I couldn't help feel that in those times Nationalism & Pan-Africanism existed, thrived & things worked socio-economically before we got lost a long the way Sad Nevertheless, I also feel we're back into History now (Dejavu) and we have another shot at getting it right again, both Nationally & SSA wide. In Kenya it starts/continues with a peaceful transition post-March 4th, implementing the Const. & whipping Vision 2030 into reality with reckless abandon! Pamberi!! (forward) na Kazi Iendelee!!

Could the Zim people end up like panama or ecuador and others who got stuck to date with dollarisation. Will the Zim dollar be a historical statistic for good in some museum archive?
But that complicates things for Zim treasury when it comes to printing money... Also if the dollarisation ccy of choice goes bonkers it also messes the Zim economy... [color=darkblue]
