The Somens and Safaricom will deal when they feel the time is right, but then again who's to rule out the price rally catalyst isn't the Somens themselves? Something is just not right with AK.They kind of concentrate on elite clients e.g IFC whereas Safcom has a wanjiku browsing in a mathree in a traffic jam! Imagine how many wanjikus are doing that!

Pole sana . you like u missed the rally and you are trying to find an excuse if this stock DOESNOT reach ten bob before results find me and i will give you 10K
This isnt a rally caused by a pump and dump scheme becasue volume is very health. ..
People dissed me in this forum when i was sticking with AK and when it was stagnating at 4 bob range forever ..now they eat their words..

You are being emotional here pal.

Isn't being emotional conduct unbecoming of Chartism?

QW while you stuck to 4 bob...people made money from other counters and are now picking AK from the fruits of that labor. Time value of money

Does the current rally really look like the shallow BD article?

The rally is more than meets the eye... I don't see AK's books alone causing the current move with those huge volume spikes. The accumulation by the Somens since 2011 is what is causing the move and not the books! Smells like a deal (e.g. KK style) is around the corner. So far in KE internet world I've noticed M&A moves since 2009 uunet got bought, then KDN was bought (twice - by SA and now UK). The pattern is so similar...

MTN buys UUNET KE (2009) - http://www.theeastafrica.../-/5y3qyrz/-/index.html

Altech moves for KDN KE (2010) - http://www.businessdaily.../-/2ypnn5z/-/index.html

Altech sells KDN to Liquid Telecom (2013) - http://www.itworld.com/u...networks-liquid-telecom

Therefore AK cannot be ruled out as an acquisition target.

I can't rule that out too. AK in my opinion is a good candidate for acquisition. Internet in Kenya and Africa can only grow and that means profits.
Uncertainty is certain.Let go

Sediments on this counter have been negative but now is everybody changing their mind?last year we got 1:20 bonus which to me was better than a .30cts div.this time round let the somens soften their hearts and tell us the buyer, even if no buyer they said the worst is over and they got busy buying.

Very similar this play. When insiders go on an accumulation/buy back spree there must be a sizable reward on the horizon...

KCB (immediate former MD) bought KCB and now he's out & sitting pretty at the EABL board after recent appointment. BBK (immediate form MD) also did the same. BBK is yet to pay off, but KCB launched hard. Insider buying is much more reliable that investment bank/broker recos.

After scaling 6.50, my tech reading view is bulls are now in charge. Targets are 7.50, 8 & 9. Will it mount an uchumi rally after the severe beating...

Trading without emotion is tough business... d'oh!

acquisition target! and given the buyer's habit of paying premiums it's a nice speculative play
