I'm looking around for a Citroen DS (21,23) - willing to look at various cars in whatever condition. Provisionally I'd expect to look at a few with a view to acquiring 2-3 depending on the owner's asking price (to cannibalise parts from each other to build good one) - so even if its on rocks in a junk yard,or if it runs like a crop duster or if its in decent shape already - I do not mind a look-see. If you know of one,or someone with one,pls give a shout.

This is the Citroen DS :

My next option would be the more recent Citroen CX:

on a different note.... Njung'e,are you able to post a pic of your bijuti here... or at least give a detailed description (colour/fade,bodywork.. engine sound... and if there any precautionary measures you have to take when opening the door or starting the car etc)

It does sound old and smokey but.... maaaan... you always mention it with underlying 'chastity'

I bet you wouldn't put a price on it.

@Njunge - I have a Bijuti BTW - 504 - a real machine (though some adventurous parking by Mrs over the weekend has rendered one headlight and indicator out of service....simply by trying to park!!!)....Anyway,if you Bijuti looks futuristic vis a vis the Citroen, then it must be the x05 series - right - maybe 505?

@Njunge - one thing I like abt French technology - suspension. I've noted this in a couple of Peugeots and also in Renault - well the Renault I tried out once was a Renault 20TS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_20/30)- it bears some semblance to the Renault 16 (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Renault_16_SX.jpg) and you can find many of these still pottering on around Ngong town. Anyway, the 20 TS - I think I have seen only 3 in total in Kenya. A car MUCH ahead of its time (circa 1977 - power steering, power windows, electric fan, electric side mirrors,2 litre engine and suspension like riding on air).
