Any leads on best time to buy stocks(during the lows), especially in the banking sector?

It is my humble plea that you are taking notes for the lessons you will learn here, no class will teach you and the consultants will charge you an arm and a leg.

Dwell on it.

FYI the new constitution gave me a Kenyan passport thanks to my proudly kikuyu mother! So you're stuck with me smile

I will be dissatisfied if Uhuru wins and will have my petition ready to challenge his presidency! If that fails we will wait 6months to watch him fail at his duties and lobby for impeachment of both him and ruto.. I don't really mind being ruled by whoever will be speaker!

Since when did following the law amount to incitement??

All this confusion is why i said the best time to buy stocks is after the dust settles!!

@pleasecallme:

Financially - When you are capable to survive the risk of investment.
Economically - The best time would be when the market is depressed. You can get assets at a discount then. But a problem will arise when the market picks up.

My best strategy for picking a stock. Look for stocks with great fundamentals and whose prices when charted show a negative inverse exponential growth pattern. Yes,sounds crazy because that implies its tanking.Thats the point.Another strategy I use is tracking the supply demand of a share.It's kind of a flirting game between buyers and sellers.That I use to tell me when its time to enter.Just my 2cents.

I use fundamentals thereafter employ something close to what you have stated. I use the charts at Bloomberg to spot dips and entry points. I am not good with TA but sometimes RSI and the Bollinger Bands come in handy.

I wouldn't be bothered if I were you.I once opened a technical analysis book and it was 1000+ pages.I laughed.I don't think there is anything like being good with TA.Everyone should just find a style that works for them and stick with it. But I'm still waiting for techboy to tell me how he does it without fundamental analysis.

You tell the people to sign petitions, am pretty sure am not the only one who hates the politics of Uhuru/Ruto/Raila. That's the only way these people can be held accountable.

Nabwire,
The process has to start from somewhere and Guru is right on with the impeachment thing, only this time, it needs to gather more steam.

Guru,
Lets organize this, am pretty sure we can remove the idiots as we are in numbers, not them and plus there is the internet and plus one can advertise in the media, so we are at the right place at the right time.

Jonna she does not hate all 3, she just hates Uhuruto and has launched a very malicious attack. I am not saying Uhuru is a saint, but if you attack Uhuru and let Raila walk scot free, you have lost me! I would listen if she attacked Raila just as much as she does Uhuru. And on impeachment, I dont see what grounds someone would have to impeach someone who has been freely elected and got the majority vote. The fact that she is conceding that Uhuru will win, but is vowing that he wont be President is alarming to me. This is a supposedly educated person, if the people vote and choose someone, why would you defy their choice? As much as I dont like Raila, if he gets elected I would never call for impeachment, thats the peoples choice.Anyways its a free country, organize and go ahead. Its just funny that you are calling for impeachment even before the man has won, what does that say?

Being freely elected has little to do with impeachment. I have said before governing via media is going to be difficult, the prolonged absence of the subjects will provide sufficient fodder for someone to move for impeachment. We have power hungry politicians. This is a fight that is very likely coming if they win, hoping that politicians will shunt aside their ambition is naive. Whether such a petition would succeed remains to be seen.

I've gone through the entire thread and i'm disappointed with the thought process of some people. It has confirmed that indeed on can be an educated fool.

I see no reason why we should have a thread on picking the best time to buy undervalued stocks, which suddenly veers to impeachment of Uhuru.

@ Admin, please move this to the politics section.

Back to the topic.
The best time to buy stocks is;
- when you have that excess money you won't need very soon,
- when you have identified a good stock priced well.
This applies to hobbyist like me, not people who make their daily bread from stocks trading.
