If the story were true,Mobitelea wouldnt accept such peanuts for their 'hard earned stake' in Safaricom.
Aftern the IPO,Mobitelea's investment was worth Ksh 10bn.
Today even with the price slide,2bn is a slap in the face.

That would be the best news (I hope it's true). Mobitelea has been more that a great thorn in the flesh of any safaricom shareholder,myself included. Any way to confirm so I can go celebrate?

This link is not clear and not trustable. Why not give us a link to the actual Vodafone report which should be on the web anyway? This could be just porojo.

This is certainly good news for Safaricom. It gets rid of the baggage associated with Mobitelea's stake in the company. It also sends out a signal that Vodafone is interested in increasing its stake. You may recall that Vodafone increased their stake not too long ago in Vodacom of South Africa. Perhaps this is a sign of things to come even for Safaricom.

Opportunity calls but few respond.
